On November 20, 2024 the Village Head and Apparatus of Oebobo Village visited TLM Foundation's Pigs Farm in Tunfeu for a comparative study. The group was warmly welcomed and met with the farm manager, Yossy Kueain and Veterinarian Yudi Nubatonis as the farm consultant
During the visit, YTLM invited the group to see the livestock and pens at the pig farm. They saw firsthand 2 types of farms TLMF according to its designation, the first is Pig Fattening, which is the raising of pigs from age of piglets (1.5 months) to maturity age (5-6 months). The second one is Breeding, which is the raising of female pigs as sows that are mated with males to produce piglets.
To the group, Veterinarian Yudi explained about the ways of raising livestock, both for fattening and for breeding, as well as the types and sizes of cages that are appropriate for animal husbandry.
The group also had the opportunity to ask questions regarding pig rearing techniques, some asked what diseases commonly attack livestock and how to deal with them as well as the marketing system for production.
After seeing the cages and discussing, the group continued to talk about the continuation of the visit and field study. TLMF agreed that Oebobo village will send 2 people to study and live in Tunfeu farm for several months, one of them is Yohan Sae, a young man from Oebobo village, a graduate of the faculty of animal husbandry at Nusa Cendana University, Kupang who now works as a farm facilitator in Oebobo village
